Price limit adjustments, therapy rate alignment and travel claiming — a practical read for participants and providers.
Each pricing update quietly changes how far your plan stretches. Here is the participant-side translation of the latest NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
Price limits are ceilings, not fixed prices
A provider may charge less than the limit and many do. If your budget is tight, negotiating the hourly rate in your service agreement is legitimate and common.
Therapy rates
Allied health limits have been aligned across several disciplines. If your therapist's rate changed, you should have received written notice and an updated service agreement before the new rate was claimed.
Travel and non-face-to-face time
- Provider travel must be agreed in writing before it is claimed.
- Non-face-to-face time (report writing, care planning) is claimable only when it is a support you agreed to.
- Cancellation rules: check the current notice period in your agreement, not last year's.
Action: pull your last three months of invoices and check the hourly rates, travel lines and cancellation charges against your service agreement. Query anything you did not agree to.
